As Age Increases, So Does Risk

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that deaths due to car accidents increase with age. 

• Rates rise quickly from age 70 to 74
• Deaths due to car accidents are highest among drivers 85 and older

Deaths come from higher risk of accidents and medical problems that increase risk of death during a crash.
